Figs are perfect to bake with! We love to eat them as their taste is amazing! Mommy loves to eat them in their yogurt but she also made this tart with it. This crunchy crust and a mascarpone filling is a delicious combination with the Figs!

|Self raising flow||250 gr|
|Red port||200 ml|
Put the self raising flower on your kitchen surface and make a hole in the middle. Add the butter, sugar, egg, and lemon zest in there and knead everything. When you have a good dough make this flat and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
After the 30 minutes take your baking form and add the dough in the form. Prick with a fork some small holes in the dough.
For the filling;
Heat up the oven to 180 degrees. Halve the vanilla pod and take out the marrow. Take the mascarpone and add the marrow and sugar. Mix one by one the eggs into this mixture and after that add the flour.
Pour the mixture into the dough form and place the pie into the oven. Bake for 40 minutes.
For the syrup;
Cook the port with the honey until you have a good syrup.
Cut the figs in pieces and place them on top of the pie. Add the syrup on top. You can also add some walnuts extra on top.
Also nice with warm figs.
