French apple pie

Do you need something sweet to add with your coffee? A french apple pie is a perfect choice. It’s a variation on the normal apple pie, so surprise your guests with this lovely fresh french pie!


Butter 160gr
White caster sugar 160gr
Vanilla sugar 8gr
Egg 1
Eggyolk 1
Flower (floated) 320gr
Lemon 1
Almond paste 165gr
Big apples 4
Cane sugar 3 spoons
Prune-jam 100gr
Roasted almond rasps 75gr
Baking powder A little pinch

Preparation Process

Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar together; then add the egg and keeping mixing it until it’s fully mixed up. Then add the flower and baking powder. Make one tablet of the dough and put in in the fridge for 1 hour. After this role the dough in a springform (30-32 cm).

Mix the almond paste, eggyolk and lemonzest and put it on top of the dough in the springform. Cut the apples in thin slices and place it nicely over the almond paste. Add some lemon juice on top of the apples. After this, create another layer of apple slices and lemon juice on top of the previous layer. 

Sprinkle some cane sugar on top and bake in the oven for 35 – 40 minutes at 160 degrees.

When the pie, sprinkle some roasted almonds over it as decoration for the finishing touch.
