For this pie we were inspired by the recipe of ‘Francesca kookt’ It is a bom of calories but it taste amazing! Bake this one for all your friends and family before you eat it all alone.. 



The Dough

Flour 450 gr
Salt 1 teaspoon
Butter unsalted 250 gr
Butter salted 100 gr
Egg (mixed 1
Vinegar 1 spoon
Water 5 spoon

The Filling

Sugar 200 gr
Dark caster sugar 4 spoons
Maple syrup 100 gr
Melted butter 75 gr
Salt 0.5 teaspoon
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Eggs (beaten)
Peacans 140 gr

Preparation Process

Mix the flour and salt. Add the butter parts into the flour and mix with a kitchen machine. Then, add the egg, vinegar and water and knead with your hands until you have a good dough. Role out the dough over the (oiled) pie shape remove the dough that is left. Press with a fork some holes in the dough. 


Mix all the ingredients with each other except the pecans. Make sure your mixture is smooth and without lumps. Pour this mixture into the pie shape with dough. Add nicely the pecan nuts on the mixture. 

Cover the pie with aluminium foil and put it for 30 minutes in the oven on 175 degrees. Remove the cover and put in the oven for another 20 minutes. 

The pie is ready when the mixture is firm. Let the pie cool down and then serve it. 

Tips and variations

Great to serve as a dessert with a vanilla ice scoop
