Spinach Rice

Spinach rice is another delicious side dish to serve with any thing you want! We love it! It has much more taste than other simple rice and it looks beautiful as well!



The Spinach rice

Basmati rice 250 gr
Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
Fresh spinach 250 gr
Turmeric 1 teaspoon
Flaked almonds  
Vegetable oil  
Salt A pinch

Preparation Process

Cook the rice in a pan with 375 ml water and some salt. Cover and cook it on medium heat for about 18 minutes.

Turn off the heat, leave the rice covered in the pan for 10 minutes and then fluff it up with a fork.

Fry the cumin seeds in a large pan with some vegetable oil for 3 minutes. Add the spinach, turmeric and a pinch of salt and wilt the spinach for 3 minutes. 

Add the fluffed up rice, stir the almonds and gently mix the rice through the spinach.
