Dutch Poffertjes

Poffertjes are actually mini pancakes and they are delicious! It is a typical Dutch snack often eaten as lunch or street food. 

Here the recipe of basic poffertjes, be aware that you need a special poffertjes pan for this.



The Poffertjes

Flour 200 gr
Baking powder 1,5 teaspoon
Salt A pinch
Milk 300 ml
Eggs 2
Melted butter 30 gr

Preparation Process

Mix all the dry ingredients with each other. Then add the milk and eggs and mix with a kitchen machine for 3 minutes. 

Heat up the poffertjes pan on medium heat and oil it with the melted butter. 

Put the mixture in the holes and bake them. When they get dry on top you can easily turn them with a fork.
