Mommy loves sushi! Daughter is not a big fan of it as she does not really like raw fish and cold meals.. Although quality sushi with chicken or shrimps she likes as well.
The good thing about making your own sushi is that you can prepare what ever you like as the filling. At the end of this recipe we wrote some idea’s for sushi fillings for you.
The sushi (3-4pax)
|Sushi rice||250 gr|
|Rice vinegar||2 spoons|
|Soy sauce||What you like.|
Clean the rice and let this rest for 10 minutes. Then put the rice in a pan with a thick bottom and add the water. Let it boil for 12 minutes on medium heat. Then remove from the heat and cover the pan with a clean cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes. After that, let the rice cool down and add the vinegar to the rice.
Fry the chicken in a pan and let it cool down. Cut in small strips of 20 cm long. Also cut the cucumber and avocado in small strips.
Take the bamboo mat and place a Nori sheet on this mat. Make sure the rough side is facing you. Add a thin layer of rice first and make sure you leave a bit of the Nori sheet empty to close the roll. Then add the filling. Roll tightly and close with the leftover of the Nori. Take some water to make it stick on each other.
Cut the roll with a wet sharp nice in small rounds. Eat with some soy sauce.
