Orecchiette Pasta

Another pasta dish! Orecchiete we never prepared ourselves before but it is a nice activity. It takes a while, so do not prepare this when you get 10 visitors.. 

We ate this pasta with a delicious basic and easy sauce, to compare all the work of making the pasta;)

Ingredients

The Pasta (2pax)

Pasta recipe 1x
Tomato’s 600 gr
Pecorino cheese 50 gr
Parsley (fresh) A handful
Garlic 1 clove
Olive oil  
Salt and pepper  

Preparation Process

Prepare the pasts dough according the following recipe:

Homemade Pasta

Do not prepare the pasta into the machine but make long ‘snakes’ of the dough and cut them in blocks. (see picture) Then press a knife in the blocks with dough and make sure they roll a bit around. Then turn them inside out. 

For the sauce:

Preheat the oven on 180 degrees and put the tomato’s, garlic, parsley and some olive oil salt and pepper in a oven dish and but it in the oven for 30 min.

Cook the pasta for 10 minutes (when they are dried, when still soft 3 minutes) and use the tomato’s and this juice for the sauce. Add the Pecorino on top.

Tips and variations

You can also you other pasta sauce if you prefer.
