Sauerkraut pie

Sauerkraut is a typical Dutch veggie and not everyone is a big fan of this. But… within a pie it is awesome! Try this one and we are sure you start liking sauerkraut!



The ingredients (for 4 pies)

Potato’s 1 kilo
Egg 1
Butter  1 spoon
sausage / rookworst 1
Pineapple in can 1 can
Bacon stripes 100 gr
Ready made pie dough 400 gr
Sauerkraut 1 package

Preparation Process

Made a puree from the potato’s and add the butter and egg to the puree to get it more soft. Add the sauerkraut.
Oil the forms and add the dough. 
Add the sauerkraut puree. Fry the bacon and add to the puree as well.
Cut the sausage and pineapple and add on top. 
Bake this in the oven for 30 minutes on 180 degrees. 

Tips and variations

Take it out of the oven when the dough looks brown.
