This pie is amazing! It looks difficult but it is easy to prepare. This pie has mushrooms, potato’s and turnip, as delicious combination! Serve it with some salad and you have a perfect meal!



The Dough

Flour 500 gr
Butter (cold) 250 gr
Salt  A pinch
Water 200 ml

The Filling

Mixed mushrooms 500 gr
Potato’s  400 gr
Turnip 200 gr
Shallot 1
Rosemary A pinch
Egg 1

Preparation Process

For the dough; 

Put the flour, butter and water in a kitchen machine and mix until you have a ball of dough. 

Put the dough in some foil and place it in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.

Cut the mushrooms in pieces and add 15 grams of salt. Mix this well and leave it aside for 30 minutes. The salt will soak out all the water. 

Peel and cut the potato’s, turnip and shallot. 

After the 30 minutes take out all the water from the mushrooms with the help of a sieve. You need to press really hard to remove as mush water as possible. 

Mix the mushrooms with the rest of the veggies and add some pepper and the rosemary. 

Divide the dough in 8 pieces and roll it out until you have a round of +- 20cm.

Fill the dough rounds with the filling. 

Break the egg and mix. Place some egg on the round of the dough and then fold them. Fold the round of the dough so you have a nice decorated side. Add some egg on top of the pie as well.

Place the pies on some baking paper and put them into the oven for 40 minutes on 180 degrees.

Tips and variations

Also delicious with other veggies. Make sure you remove liquid from veggies if needed.
