Banana cake with caramel

This recipe is not healthy at all but it is super delicious! The banana’s are sweet and this in combination with a bit of caramel is super yummie! 

For the caramel you can follow this recipe or buy caramel from the supermarket. 


The Dough

Banana’s 4
Light olive oil 125 ml
Dark caster sugar 150 gr
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Self raising flour 225
Cinnamon 1 spoon

Preparation Process

Smash the banana’ in a big bowl and add the oil, eggs, sugar and vanilla, mix this with a kitchen machine. 

Add the flour, cinnamon and mix everything well. 

Oil a baking form and pour the mixture into the form.

Put the banana cake into the oven for 55 minutes on 180 degrees. Let it cool down for 4 minutes and then take the cake out of the form and let cool down totally.

Pour the caramel on top of the cake. 

Tips and variations

You can also bake a normal cake form and add a banana on top before you put it into the oven.
