Preparing meringues is not difficult, although you need to be very careful and pay a lot of attention during the process. 

We prepare meringues for pies, but this time we had some left and prepares meringue candy out of it! Super delicious with Nutella, chocolate or fruit.



The meringues 

Egg whites 3
Sugar 165 gr
Cornstarch 1 spoon
Vinegar 0.5 spoon
Nutella  2 spoons

Preparation Process

Mix the egg whites into a kitchen machine on high speed. Add the sugar slowly while mixing. Do this over a period of 5 minutes. Make a mixture of the cornstarch and vinegar and add to the egg whites when almost ready. 

Make sure the Nutella is soft. Put it in the microwave for a minute when needed.

Make with big spoons rounds on a baking tray and add with a small spoon some Nutella into the egg whites. Add this with a swing, so you create a nice decoration on the egg whites.

Put this in the oven on 150 degrees for 45 minutes. Let them cool down in the closed oven. 

Tips and variations

Instead of chocolate you can also use:

  • Forest fruits
  • Caramel
  • White chocolate
