Daughter loves pretzels and therefore they were already for a long time on her ‘to bake list’ Finally she did it and they were amazing. The dough is so airy and tasty, the perfect dough for these German breads.



The Pretzel dough

Flour 400gr
Yeast 7 gr
Sugar 1 teaspoon
Baking powder 2 teaspoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Milk 125 ml
Hot water 125 ml
Egg 1

Preparation Process

Put the flour, baking powder, yeast and salt in a bowl. Mix the hot water and milk with each and add to the flour mixture. Mix with a kitchen machine for 15 minutes and let is rest under some foil for 50 minutes until it has doubled it size.

After resting, make 8 small rounds of dough. Take 1 boll and roll it out, then take the both ends and twist around each other, then stick it to the bottom of the dough line. 

Mix the egg and put some egg on all pretzels. Add some salt on each one as well. Let them rest like this for 15 more minutes.

Put them in the oven on 225 degrees for 15 minutes until they are golden brown.
