Healthy Beetroot chips

We all love chips and fries! But we also know that it is not the most healthy thing you can eat.

Therefore we came up with the idea to slice some beetroot and sweet potato’s very thin, and put it in the oven with some lovely herbs. A lot healthier than the chips from the supermarket!

Ingredients

The Chips

Beetroot 2
Sweet potato 1
Salt  
Cajun powder  
Paprika powder  

Preparation Process

Cut the sweet potato and the beetroot in extremely thin slices. If you have a mandolin you can use that! 

Preheat the oven on 200 degrees. Put all the beetroot and potato slices on a baking tray with some baking paper. Make sure they do not overlap. Bake them for 25 minutes. After that, turn them around and bake them for another 25 minutes. 

When they are ready, season them generously with some salt, cajun powder and paprika powder.

You can eat them as:

  • A side dish 
  • As a snack
  • With some nice burgers like:
