Pumpkin cake with a glaze

We love this cake! It is a true beauty and it tastes as good as it looks! The combination of pumpkin and treacle is delicious and therefore you need to try this one!



The cake

Pumpkin cubes 450 gr
Condensed milk 250 ml
Treacle 4 spoons
Butter (room temperature) 200 gr
White caster sugar 200 gr
Self raising flour 400 gr
Cinnamon 2 spoons
Eggs 4
Vanilla bean 1
Almond shaves 2 spoons
Salt A pinch

Preparation Process

For the glaze:

Heat up the milk and add the 4 spoons of treacle for the glaze. Keep stirring while heating up for 8 minutes. Let cool down when ready!

Boil the pumpkin cubes in water for 10 minutes until they are soft. Let them soak out when ready.

Mix the butter with the sugar for 5 minutes in a kitchen machine. 

Sieve the flour, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. 

Add the eggs one by one into the butter mixture and after that add the flour, cinnamon and salt in small pieces. Mix until it is a smooth batter.

Oil the baking form and pour the batter inside. But this in the oven for 45 minutes on 200 degrees.

Let cool down for 5/10 minutes into the form and then take it out.

Heat up the glaze again and pour on top of the cake. Let cool down for at least 1 hour. 

Tips and variations

Delicious with some almond shaves on top!
